So sorry to hear about your mom- what a sudden shock for you. My father died suddenly when I was 17. My mom dated but not seriously until several years later, so I never had to deal with the "replacement" of my father. As a matter of fact, I would have liked for my mother to find someone; I really missed having a father and would have welcomed someone into our lives.
I think it's important to tell your brother to stop with the sexual details. That is just uncalled for and you have a right NOT to hear that stuff.
Hang in there and grieve your mom in your own way. Everyone is different and nobody is right or wrong. Take care.
