Fleetwood Mac kicks Ass
Posted 3/18/2009 12:00:00 AM
The last time I saw them was over 20 years ago and I had a good time then...but last night at the ACC they absolutely kicked ass with 2 and a half hours of non-stop hits, passion, and energy. Talk about hard workers...Stevie Nicks was vocally the best I've heard her and Lindsey Buckingham had the crowd drawn right in. The show had a really intimate feel to it which is a great thing to accomplish inside a giant hockey rink. Buckingham is without a doubt THE most under-rated and under appreciated guitar player in rock and roll and he proved it big time last night. Mick Fleetwood was his usual fun loving and wacky self behind the kit and John McVie's bass line on The Chain was bang on. Time has been very good to these awesome rockers, but even better to their fans who've been following them for decades. They are back in Toronto in April (not sure of the date) but if it isn't sold out, get tickets. You won't be disappointed. It's amazing what a great night of music can do to soothe your mind and lift your spirits whether it's the big names or the guy who plays unplugged around the corner at your neighborhood saloon. Get some music into your life and stop worrying about the future. "Go your own way" and "Don't Stop" thinking about tomorrow....it'll soon be here...better than before.
