Okay, first of all, apologizes for not meeting up with anyone. I have not had time to coordinate and went right to the Rochester show after work.

It was an AMAZING SHOW. As many have already noted, it was a Lindsey showpiece. He had so much energy and balls. It may have included the best performances of So Afraid and Oh Well I've heard from him to date. Stevie was occasionally beguiling but mostly she seemed sapped of energy and a bit uncertain of herself on the stage. I know I might get boos for saying this but she has become somewhat of a campy version of an already campy act. She did, however, rise to the occasion on Storms and Stand Back.

Here's my breakdown:

Monday Morning and Second Hand News were very convincing performances.

Go Insane was so good it made me lament the fact that Mac never originally recorded it.

Never Going Back Again and Landslide were paired nicely back to back and were both strong performances.

I Know I'm not Wrong was energetic and fun--though I didn't like the "do-do-do-do-dos."

Oh Well and So Afraid were the highspots played with so much muscle I was beginning to dream of the Mac as a trio...

Stevie had some fine moments, though they were intermittent. During Storms she was at her best. Gold Dust Woman was also pretty strong (though I could have done without the dramatic dropping of her shawl from her shoulders). Stand Back was hot.

Elsewhere, Stevie seemed uncertain, maybe tired, and certainly less adventurous in terms of stage presence than I remembered. Gypsy, Sara and Dreams were pretty blah. Rhiannon seemed rushed. Silver Springs should have perhaps been played during the show instead as the encore since it seemed anti-climactic.

Interestingly enough, one of the big high spots was Lindsey and Stevie's trade off reading of Say You Love Me, which had everyone standing up and dancing. It was genuinely charming.

Don't Stop worked instrumentally, but Stevie's one verse on it was awful--not the kind of song she is meant to sing, and certainly not belt.

No mention of Chris...bad!

I loved te show overall and was so impressed with the instrumental trio.
