But to be fair to myself, SN and LB really don't sound THAT different decades later, and for me, the guitar solos at the end are my highlights of SOTM. I love Stevie's singing, but the song really peaks when she's dancing or twirling or whatever and Lindsey is playing for his life and John and Mick are going ape. When the band's genuine like that is my favourite.

Bring new here I guess it's a n00b question, but it still sucks. Maybe they think that belongs to the bad days when they were hippies, or something. It's almost like Stevie is embarrassed of some of those 70's songs. I wonder if there's any truth to that.
As for Lindsey carrying FM, IMHO, the only time Lindsey has ever done that is by choice or in his own mind (eg Tusk). I think he can do it successfully. I just don't think anyone would genuinely want him to be a solo artist 'carrying' FM and not part of the band. Just seems like forum/fan politics that people enjoy, although that's a big call for a new member
