[QUOTE=skcin;802434]We were way over to the right & couldn't get up front the first night, so I'm not sure that was me you're thinking of.

Yes, we were all the way to the right as well. Your friend had curly blonde hair and glasses, right? For some reason I thought she had made it up to the stage. That was the most bogus walk ever! There was just a small section at the center of the stage that she made it across so barely anyone up front got to shake her hand.

[QUOTE=skcin;802434]See, really I don't think people expect it, at least not general fans. I think when she DOES twirl & does it smoothly & quickly, people are pleasantly surprised like "whoa, look at her go, how old is she?" I think when she clumsily turns around a couple times, they're saying "Jesus, lady, you're too old for that sh*t."

I totally agree with this statement and I think her boots play a big part in this. I think homegirl has still got the mad speed twirls in her, but we'll probably only see it again if she switches back to the boks. When I saw FM in Irvine in 2004, Stevie was spinning so fast during Stand Back I swear I could feel the breeze from her shawl in the 24th row. If you check out my Stand Back clip from Chicago last year on Youtube her twirls had really slowed down after the boots came back. My friend was a little sad that Stevie was looking older and slowing down, but I thought her performance was very good regardless of the speed of her twirls.
