I think it was actually April (May is slightly more stable--but not by much, ditto with June--but April is
really a roller coaster), and it was Good Friday (I took the day off from work beforehand, which was kind of a good thing because several work people saw me on that tape and I would have been SO busted if I took a sick day).
And a day or so before, it was 90. That, my friends, is springtime in NY. I think it had dipped to the 30s that day and the wind--oh, my goodness. It was downright freezing. I remember thinking that if they did an encore or stayed into the 9-10 hour of the Today show, I'd have to leave because the cold was forcing ME to heed to nature's call. That, and I wanted to randomly ask a strange guy if I could snuggle in his nice, warm-looking coat with him. In fact, I think I was ready to pay the dude.
How Lindsey managed that day is a mystery to me. Stevie was stamping her feet and she was wearing full-length fur.
(Who says it hasn't all been an adventure! Getting up at the crack of dawn to freeze with Fleetwood Mac?)
