Again, if you were in your late teens in the late 80's, this was a great CD. I agree that in retrospect (i.e. you're in your late teens NOW and are reviewing her music over the years), it may not be one of her best, vocally.
I also think that this album truly represents such a turning point in Stevie's career and really, in her life. While it may not have been a turn in a good direction, for me it was at this time when her live performances (with some exceptions) became much less impassioned.
When she sang HAEWAFY live during this era, she MEANT it, tears and all.
