But, had the exoomy not chosen this exact time to tank, Obama would not be in the significant lead he has now. So, there was a little luck involced and it likely would have gone to Hillary as well. Also, if Hillary had gotten the nomination, McCain almost certainly would not have chosen Palin, who was chosen for her "ability: to attract some women pissed off at Hillary not getting the nomination.
