Actually, the fun part was the bar hopping, the subsequent 20 Euro McDonald's food orgy, and then the bicycle ricksaw ride home at like 2 A.M. during which I was belting who the hell knows how many showtunes and Stevie tunes on the way from Soho to Notting Hill. That I was not arrested and/or beaten to within an inch of my life in Mayfair alone is repayment for whatever part America played in WWII
