With respect, Obama did rather well on Bill O'Reilly in a no holds barred Q&A. That leads me to conclude he can hold his own.
As for the book banning - the facts speak for themselves in the other thread. To me, it boils down to one simple question, why would a mayor ever ask a librarian what he would do if she or anyone asked him to ban a book. I have yet to hear a logical explanation for that other than she wanted him to ban a book. Then, she fired him, but rescinded that decision due to public outcry. So, the question again becomes, why did she fire him - well, because he refused to play with her relgious football. I mean how much more obvious does it have to be. Even W could get that one

Note - I think Obama was a horrible choice for the D's and I do not really care for him or the D party. But, I'd piss on a spark plug if I thought it would keep the R's from having four more years to shove their religious crapola down my throat along with the insane spending - not to mention the lies and warmongering. And, this is coming from likely the most conservative person on The Ledge. Please note I just equated pissing on a spark plug to voting for Obama
