It can happen! My family has both black and white. About 80 years ago, two of my relatives adopted a black baby girl by mistake. The husband was white and the wife was Puerto Rican, so they were looking for a mixed Puerto Rican baby, but as their baby grew older, she was very definately black. So, the family reunions have both races.
