And at least one cashier at the grocery store where you shop is probably a racist, homophobe or misogynist, so you should refuse to shop there. And the 90% of black people who voted for Obama should be asked whether their votes were based on race, and Obama should come out and renounce the votes of those who replied "yes." As far as I'm concerned this business with KY is yet another dirty race-based campaign tactic that the Obama camp decided to hurl at Clinton, which, yet again, paints him out to be the saint and Hillary as the she-devil. The race carding in this campaign by the Obama campaign has been utterly despicable and it irks me when so-called "educated" people cannot see through the manipulation. White guilt is top on their list of strategies.

Still, the fact remains that many, many people in this country have not evolved and cling on to the same prejudices that their parents and their parents' parents, and their parents' parents' parents, etc. espoused. But you can't peg that on just white people. It's everyone. And some of that blame lies with the Bible, which espouses slavery, ownership of women as property, etc., despite the fact that it also espouses compassion, tolerance and kindness (the latter of which many choose to conveniently forget). And, ironically enough, much of it comes from the notoriously anti-gay black church as well. But then again, we are still pretty early in the evolution of our country and of the civil rights movement; it's probably only a matter of time before people move beyond our demographic characteristics.
It is apples and oranges to compare someone that works at a grocery store to someone that votes for a candidate in a primary. As for the workplace in my case if someone in management or higher gave voice to any of those things they would soon find themselves unemployed but Hillary's supporters actually admiited it..as for Barack I support him not because of race but due to the fact that he is the candidate with the ideaology I most agree with ,unlike Hillary he came out against the "war"debacle before it began as I did on this very forum ..that was back when less than 20% of America was against it.If Dennis Kucinich, the candidate with whom I most concur ideaologically with were still a viable candidate he is the one I would be supporting.I agree 100% with you about the many contradictions of the so called Christians..most of whom notoriously cherry pick from the Bible to suit their own veiws and needs ignoring that which does not.
