The difference is Obama is black and any attack on him suggests that he is being attacked because he is black. I think he knows this and this is the very significant race card he often plays through third parties. When the gloves come off over the Summer, it will be interesting to see what kind of free pass the press gives him then.
Note - I'll still take him over McCain.
