Marketing wise, they could have done one of those, "for the first time together in 6 years" thing, which . . . I'm not sure not doing it hurt them in venues or made it more difficult to promote the tour.
I think Christine's absence hurt more internally than it did with promotion or concert revenue.
I would agree with you that Lindsey had to work harder with Christine gone. Also, I don't know whether he realizes this or not, but he actually has more leverage over Stevie with Chris there than he does when she's not. So, it would have been better for him.
