We all gots different ears. Oops I think I already said that. My ears alert me to the personal fact in the Grand Narrative that during the 83 tour, the voice was more pliable than ever, engaging in stunning pyrotechnics (stunning for Stevie, that is -- it wasn't as if she suddenly turned into Joan Sutherland).
Listen to HOW STILL MY LOVE at the Inglewood Forum, & then imagine anyone in pop anywhere else duplicating that.
