I kinda get that too, but she is
fairly new. it took Kelly Clarkson a while to really develop into an artist. Chris Daughtry is another great artist (imo) that came from AI. I think it's a rarity to find a true artist on a TV talent competition, but I don't think it's impossible. the key is finding a singer who is already an artist and not try to make a singer into an artist. does that make sense?
one thing that bugs me about LL is that every clip I see of her singing Bleeding Love, she does the exact same movements and sings the song the exact same way over and over and over. if you've seen her sing it live once, you've seen them all. maybe she'll grow with that in time.
