I am not agreeing with them or in any way condoning them. But, here is their point of reference in The Bible. A quick reading of this complex topic here

reveals they are incorrect, esp. considering Jesus Christ was the "New Convenant" with mankind, thus rendering the Old Testament or the Laws of Moses somewhat irrelevant as the way to enter Heaven becaue Jesus said salvation and the entrance to Heaven was only obtained through acceptance of Him as a person's saviour.
