She's so cute in a beret -- with her little peekaboo hair peekabooing! There was beret-wearing in 1977, 1978 & 1979, but as far as I know, no onstage beret since then. Unless I've just forgotten ....
Do you mean why the 1978 tour? I don't know. I think Mick said it was to get some energy for the new recording sessions. It was probably a little bit of that & a lot of "$$$$$"
I guess since there were so many shows in California in 1977 (probably about ten), they decided not to "oversaturate the market," as the suits call it. They should have played Dodger Stadium out here, or Jack Murphy Stadium. They were going to go to Russia at the same time, but when that fell through for political reasons, that might have been when they decided to tour the home country.
