Of all the loves in Fleetwood Mac, I think the one between Lindsey & Mick was the greatest & deepest. It was a meeting-of-minds, a mutual pledge of troth, & a true friendship, like the friendship in "Brideshead Revisited." It ended, or nearly ended, in self-immolation for Mick (the Sebastian Flyte character) & an emotional turning-away & a hardening followed by a softening for Lindsey (the Charles Ryder character).
I also think there was a strong sense of cross-identification between the two, which may have reached its zenith on the 1978 tour, when both of them shaved off their beards & moustaches. I'm interested in what others think.
