Nancy Buckingham, being an art teacher, may have been thinking of it when she suggested
Mirage.
I always liked how the
Hold Me video in the hot, dry desert with FM hallucinating played into the "mirage" theme.
The whole concept of the band members searching endlessly and not finding each other or whatever else it was they sought was very good too. Lindsey not being able to capture Stevie in paint . . . Stevie schlepping her own portrait across the sand in heels and an evening gown . . .it's a great video.
