I'm getting nervous because the most southern fire has now jumped Otay Lakes which is directly east of me. It's still 10+ miles away but the Santa Ana winds are blowing towards me. I am probably going to be taking in relatives tonight that have been evacuated from their homes. When this is all said and done, the number of destroyed homes will be staggering.

The problem came in when Rancho Santa Fe started to burn.......that's why my parents got the call, they live inland right next to Olivenhain. Oh, yes, as you noticed, the news coverage of north county SUCKED BIG TIME! We started to freak out when they finally started to set aside a little more time for n.c. when they said "encinitas is now in danger" and "encinitas is next"..and other things along those lines.
