ok - enough of that - i am confusing myself.
so are you sure those are buckeyes?
i don't wanna come off as some expert or anything, but that don't look like a buckeye to me. and i grew up surrounded by the little suckers. {yes i too have been attacked but prefer not to take it up in public, the scars are too fresh
}
maybe there are many kind of buckeyes and your kind are just weird?
yours look more like hazelnuts or acorns without their hats.
