Their manager Clifford Davies (aka, Adams) kind of screwed their Blue Horizon label. The contract was about to run out and instead of negotiating to extend the contract, Davis let it run out without even reminding the record company. He then took the master tapes and made a one record deal with Immediate, just so that "Man Of The World" could be released quickly and not on Blue Horizon. Meanwhile, Peter Green was negotiating (well, just talking, not serious "negotiations" per se) with John Lennon about signing Fleetwood Mac to the Beatles' Apple Records label, when Davis announced to the band he'd already agreed to and signed the deal with Reprise.
