Yes, I'm sure they have. I vaguely recall reading that many of them ship the animals to Canada for slaughter or sell them at auction to "killer buyers" who then export them for slaughter. I could be wrong though.
I just had to ask because the notion of breeding horses specifically for slaughter just seemed odd to me.
