That's a terrible tragedy. I agree with Sarah. Dogs are dogs, and people need to be cautious around them no matter how well they think they know how they'll act. There's a recent case here where apparently a Pit Bull "sexually penetrated" a toddler (I swear to God, I'm not kidding) and they're debating putting the dog down. UM. First of all, I don't know how in the world that could happen - mom claims she sent naked kid into the other room to get a clean diaper & within 2 minutes, the dog was attacking the kid. Secondly - IT'S A DOG! It's not as if it decided to rape a child. If this did happen the way she claims, then the dog was obviously in heat & mounted the first object it saw. It's part of nature. Keep your naked baby away from horny dog. But to kill the dog for it? It's not as if this particular dog will be roaming the streets, preying on other naked toddlers. |
