A few hours ago I heard a version of
Gold Dust Woman that bore only a vague resemblance to the album version. The music itself had been sped up, Christine's harmony was more prominent, the weird background effects were moved up front, the breaking glass sound was removed, and I could barely hear the drums for the first half of the song. I could have sworn it would break out into a dance song any minute!
Has anyone else heard this version, or is someone at one of our local radio stations just getting overzealous with their mixing board?
