i loved loved loved being on air -- and i love doing voiceover work. i won't know if it will turn into something more permanent as right now, the budget is iffy. going to events really doesn't bother me all that much...even though you then realize some of the people contributing to your paycheck? are crazier than **** house rats. i've met some really cool people too.

on sirius, the chill channel (35) is my favorite.
dude, everybody in this industry has some sort of defect. and by defect, i don't mean "normal, every day problem".
you have a super voice, and voice over work could be a bitchin' side gig for you. you can cut some demos and post through some different agencies.. then charge people out the ass to read an 8.5 x 11 sheet. you don't have to work for a company to do that. it takes you, what, all of 15 minutes to make the cuts, and rates are like $150 + for however much they can fit on one side of one sheet. smaller stations generally go that route for their liner and show production needs... they don't have the luxury of having the money to hire someone just for that purpose. i used to do voice overs for stations around this area, but not anymore. my voice has just dropped a considerable amount (pitch wise), and i'm not comfortable with it anymore. i'm trying to slip out of the field.. slowly but surely. i think this fall/winter and early spring will be my last, but it is something to fall back on 'cuz it's natural to me.
