I know there were a lot of stories going around that the 'Rumours' lineup was going to work on something, as well as appear together at the Super Bowl, but then Stevie told USA Today that the Clinton performance was a one-off thing, that she didn't know exactly who was going to be playing the Super Bowl as Fleetwood Mac, but that the lineup wouldn't include her and Lindsey.

And, of course, Rick had already left the band by that point... so I'm sure many fans were wondering if he had re-joined or what was going on. I know I sure was!
(He later clarified that he did it only as a favor to Billy... a comment I've always thought hinted at frosty relations at that time between he and the English Maccers.)
I didn't know any of this. Wow, it was great to see/hear. Vito is such a killer guitarist. There was so much publicity about Mac playing for Clinton, but I never heard they'd played the Superbowl in 93. And with this ad-hoc lineup.
