On this board, you have never once to my recollection sided with a man. In your case, you did, and that was unfortunate.
As for this case, it has been pending since 2002. Don't you think Kim would have alleged the abuse by now if it were there. She apparently has no issue with using her daughter, so that is not the reason why. And, if she alleged abuse in the court and could prove it via Ireland's statements, the Court would halt the visitation immediately. I say that because it did in this case based on a VM that in no way threatened physical abuse.
As for the set you straight line, what parent has not told their kid something to that effect (behave or else - you better straighten up - we are having a serious talk when I get home, etc. ) in a phone call. I know of none.
