Paula, to answer your question: after what I saw happen in my own case and in many other similar cases, I can tell you truly that none of the avenues you suggested are a guarantee of safety. My son was left to his father's "tender mercies" for a year and a half in spite of overwhelming evidence of the folly that would be. As for the bit about Carrie, contrary to popular opinion, I dont scrutinize all her posts

1 - Well, we agree on something as far as facts coming out.
2 - I never said they were guarantees. But neither is releasing the recording to the media. Would you have gone to the media with a video of your son's abuse, or his detailed description of what happened? I know it's a different situation, but you brought it up so I'm trying to understand. I don't think you would do that, even if you felt you weren't being fairly heard by CPS/judge/whoever involved with the case.
3 - Well after your post describing what you know about Carrie, it seemed that you had been studying up or something. I asssumed you knew that Carrie's mom's a whore.
