Having said that, Ireland's apparent repeated disrespect of her father's set talk time is brattish behavior and she deserved to be called out by AB and Kim for it. If she did not want to talk to her father (and no one has said she did not) -- then she should have told her mother. Moreover, her mother, the adult, should have made sure her 11 year old daughter was there to answer the phone. I mean come on, who is the fukcing adult here 
Finally, I highly doubt an 11 year old has the savy to leak that VM. Kim, on the other hand had every reason to and the wherewithall to do it.
But, you will never ever admit that Kim did anything wrong or could even possibly have done anything wrong -- and even if she did, any public humiliation of Ireland was worth it to bring this topic into general public discourse.

I agree with you, regarding language content, the word "pig" is relatively mild compared to other things I've heard angry people say. I think it was the vehemence that shocked a lot of folks
I never said Alec had a history of hitting Ireland, but I DO get the impression he's a control freak just by the fact that he's willing to fly 3000 miles to set her straight....thats a bit extreme IMO, and again, not much to look forward to in a visit.
I dont believe Ireland leaked that tape, I dont think anyone thinks she did it. I think its probably safer to posit that Kim's attorney advised that the tape go public. I dont know his reasons....but I doubt Kim did it on her own. This all smacks of strategic maneuvering to me
I personally doubt we'll hear too much more in the way of "facts" I think what we will hear will be spin from both camps trying to sway public opinion.
Paula, to answer your question: after what I saw happen in my own case and in many other similar cases, I can tell you truly that none of the avenues you suggested are a guarantee of safety. My son was left to his father's "tender mercies" for a year and a half in spite of overwhelming evidence of the folly that would be. As for the bit about Carrie, contrary to popular opinion, I dont scrutinize all her posts
