Yes. Well said, Dee. That's what I was trying to say.

As for my view of Motherhood, I think its far safer to assume you all have a DIM view of it rather than my having an exaggerated view of it. I dont know what passed for a "mother" in any of YOUR lives, but I'll tell you all frankly, I wish I would have had an advocate in MY life. And, I do more than regale all of you regarding what I think is important. I actually go out and do something about it.

Again: Im content to see what a JUDGE makes of all of this. I pray that Ireland has a better, wiser Judge for her case than my son had for his.
You know what they say about assuming....

Well, this is quite a change from you questioning her "training." Talk about demeaning.

apparently in my time away, I missed the news that you and Carrie were actually joined at the hip as it were....sharing a brain.....egad, what a shame. the decline and fall of a good person.....is there going to be a memorial service?? I wont come but I might (might) send a postcard....
Wow. So Dee's no longer a good person because she disagrees with you? Friends don't always have to agree with one another, they don't always have to back up what the other says. Whenever someone disagrees with you, you accuse them of ganging up on you, or being on "their" side - whoever "they" is. Hi, paranoid. Dee has a difference of opinion than you (it appears most people do, in this thread at least.) So what? Why get so defensive & catty & tell her she's going to hell? WTF?

I may have a bias but we all do. My main point is that because this leaked out, I believe Ireland will be safer, which IMO is a good thing.
So, turning the phone call recording over to CPS or their caseworker or the judge or their therapist wouldn't have made her safer? That wouldn't have been enough?

And you may have bias? You're the one who brought up your son's case, then turned around & said it was different than this one. Apples & oranges, I believe you said. You keep implying that the rest of us don't care about the welfare of children because we haven't been through the system like you have (which, btw, you don't know for a fact - just because not everyone talks about it here doesn't mean they haven't had similar experiences), when all we're doing is trying to see both sides of the matter and not rush to judgment over 1 phone call. It's obvious to me that your past experience is making you totally biased against men. Somehow I'm sure this isn't the first time you've heard that.
