Anectdotal evidence from the last 50 or so years demonstrates the Muslim fundamentalists are FAR more willing to die to promote the cause and perpetuate the hatred of the West. Along these lines, I am all for W's promotion of democracy in the Middle East because with that almost always comes free thought and education - at least more so than already exists there now on the whole. Granted W has fukced that up beyond repair - but the idea is sound no matter how he pirated it.
Also, Iran is funding terrorist groups all over the Middle East in an effort to destroy Israel and the West. To me, that is proof enough of their intent.
As for solving the problem, I do not know the answer other than I know that giving them the ability to destroy several hundred thousand people in a second is not the right path to peace
