I've tried to get it, I really have, but I just don't. I mean, I can understand gay people going to a Unity church, or some other type of New Thought denomination, but the mainline denominations are anti-gay, even the ones that call themselves "accepting." Why would you pick a teaching that doesn't fully accept you over one that does? It's their karma (lack of merit), I guess, but it's so maddening. I mean, where are the gay people who stand up and say "We're mad as hell and we're not gonna take this anymore!" Where can I sign up for that group?

i've been wondering about the same thing lately. i was raised christian, but as soon as i realized i was gay, i was like, fukc this ****! it wasn't easy, but i refuse to be surrounded by people who do not
fully accept who i am without question. it's one of the reasons i hang out with different people now than when i first came out, and it's one of the reasons i'm looking for a new job.
i don't understand it either.
