I agree with you about more upbeat moments, Johnny. If the project was done for any reason OTHER than for Cirque du Soleil, then it probably would have been. It is a really, really nice work, though. The Martins did a wonderful job using all the original recordings in a new way. I especially like the Drive My Car/The Word/What You're Doing track. The Word and WYD sound perfect over the DMC music. The way they brought in Lady Madonna was really cool, too. And as always, While My Guitar Gently Weeps is perfect, the new string arrangement is beautiful.
Heh. You won't ever hear me say I'm disappointed by anything dealing with the Beatles' music!
Anyway... A FM album like this would be cool. Obviously it will never happen, but it would still be cool. Maybe some of our more talented Ledgies could put together some musical mac collages?
