Just to qualify, I'm working under the assumption that Stevie Nicks is a rich person.

I consider recording hard work. She actually has to be creative and try to sound good. You can't tell me she's really trying hard night in and night out on these last few tours. In the delivery or, more painfully obvious, the set lists.

Except for the fact that she has millions and millions and millions and millions of dollars and she hasn't been to a grocery store since the 70's. Not willing to part with a fraction of that money in order to make her fans, her label, and herself (in the end) happy? I would consider that greedy. More personality disorder than greedy if it's making her unhappy to do the thing that will make her happy.

Royalty payments only go so far when sales slow down with each passing year.
I didn't say she'd "rather keep her money" -- I said she may be protecting her nest egg. It's easy for us to say "hey, Stevie, blow a million and record a new album," when we don't know if that million is what's going to send Jessica to college.

I'm thinking that if my mother can afford to send me to college, as countless other non-musical-superstar-of-gargantuan-fame mothers can, Stevie can afford to help out her niece.
