Talking Processor settings for My Little Demon

Hi MikeD,

As ChiliD said, www.followthesound.com (aka www.lindseybuckingham.com) is easily the best site on the net for finding out about Lindsey's equipment (and IMO generally the best Lindsey site on the net!).

I've got an extensive list of settings that I use for playing any of Lindsey's live songs (from '75 to '97), the majority of which are replications of tones used on the "Dance" show.

I have no idea whether these are anything like the settings LB was actually using during the show, but they are close to 100% replications.

Here are my settings for "My Little Demon":

I run my guitar (with volume at about 2/3, the tone on full) through my Digitech processor then into the amp.

Here are the processor settings:
(Obviously we have different processors so just try to incorporate/adapt as much of this as you can.)

Pick-up: Select to Humbucker if you have single coil pickups, otherwise leave "off".
Amp Model: Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier.
Gain (Range 0 to 99): 80.
Level (volume): 99.
Equaliser (range -12 to +12) : Bass +2, Midrange -4, Treble -3.
Cabinet / Mic: Warm 4 x 12 Mic 3
Noise Gate: Silencer Noise Gate.
Gate Threshold (range 1 to 40): 20
Effects: Chorus Effect (delayed-signal modulation).
Modulation depth & speed (Range 1 to 99) : 20.
Mix Level (Range 1 to 99) : 90.
Vibrato Effect (even rate signal pitch modulation)
Modulation speed (Range 1 to 99): 15
Modulating pitch depth (Range 1 to 99): 10
Delay: Type/Level (Range 1 to 9) : 4D (Digital delay).
Delay Time (Range 1 to 99, or 10 through 990milliseconds): 20.
Delay Feedback (Range 1 to 99): 20.
Reverb: Type: Arena.
Decay (Range 1 to 99): 50.
Level: (Range 0 to 99): 25.

Amp Settings: (Range 0 to 10)
Gain: 1
Bass: 5
Middle: 5
Treble: 6
Reverb: 7

For the two solos I like to put my guitar volume to max., or I guess you could use something like an SD-1 pedal if you prefer.

Hope some of the above helps you out. (If it does happen to be of any help, I'll gladly give you any more live song settings if you want, although I don't ever play "Little Lies" so I can't help you there.)
