Honestly, I think she doesn't want to worry about things too much. She does what she does and people
still come see her. She isn't going to compromise her 'comfort zone' by messing with the setlist. Stevie's not so much into her 'music is art and let's please the diehards with something new and unexpected, for the heck of it', she could never do what Lindsey does, semi-impromptu encores every evening. She loves to perform, as long as everything goes according to
her standards, not what other people might expect. I've long ago accepted that so I don't have to whine about her not mixing it up a little. Sure, it'd be nice, it'd be GREAT, but you're going to have to stop expecting lest you want to keep getting disappointed.
So again, I'm not disappointed with this upcoming release either. In fact, I'm getting more than I expected, I'm getting a DVD on top of a CD, I'm getting previously unreleased live tracks, for quite a few songs. I'm finally getting all the videos neatly wrapped with a Stevie bow and some cool extras that go along with that. A few months ago nobody would have thought it was going to be this...elaborate, for lack of a better word. Let's at least appreciate that we
are getting something. Like someone else said, she could have had her retired ass planted on a beach in Hawaii somewhere, instead we are getting new things and a new tour. Would you guys all rather have we
didn't get it?
