o.k. in my defense-I write checks because I have bad record keeping skills. I use my debit card and pretty soon, I start getting letters from the bank. I can NEVER keep track of it  I tell myself every time I will-I never do. Then I spend 2 hours balancing my checkbook via the my phone and trying to figure out where "withdrawal....in the amount of....15 dollars....seventy-five....cents" came from  I realize this isn't other people's problem-but I usually write my check out before they ask for the total. So it takes just as much time 
also-I have duplicate checks because of this..hahaha

what paula said. you're courteous about it, my rage is only directed towards people who wait to pull out the gd checkbook until everything is rung up, blah blah blah. it's ok, i still love you.
