little kids are resourceful, trust me
I have one of those flip locks waaaay up high on the doorjamb and my little monkey knows to get a chair (or he used to climb on the coat tree, another WONDERFUL pasttime
) Its amazing how quickly they can get out and OH! the stuff they share with the neighbors
