Congrats! That's how I felt when Anne Rice responded to my concern for her well-being after New Orleans was evacuated for Hurricane Katrina. I continued our communications after that...she is AWESOME as well and very easy to relate to in many ways. Even now that she is writing very differently...still love her!

Writers are VERY different than musicians and other artistic people, I have noticed. I have gotten response from the majority of my fave writers and corresponded with them. The McCourts are the BEST! My Irish heritage led me to their books. I continue to chat with them.

I wish I could get in touch with my ALL-TIME fave author, Carrie Fisher. Yup...THAT Carrie Fisher is a fantastic writer.
