I think this is both insightful and entertaining. A tough combo to pull off.
I like the attitude, and agree with many of the sentiments. Even the sentimetns I don't quite agree with are backed up. I mean, they are opinions, so rock on. Hindsight reviews are actually pretty interesting. Considering that one can't possibly buy this in 1977 again, I like the hindsight view of it. I can close my eyes and pretend I am 11 and just hearing this. And I can immerse myself in the memories it recalls of other times. But often, I do look at it as a relic of and statement about the time in which it was created, and that is a big part of critiquing any work of art that has been done well enough to stand the test of time. It's a time capsule.
