CarneVaca.... I don't think it's too far beyond the realm of possibility that Lindsey would give someone else the spotlight for a few songs. He'd probably appreciate the break.
It's been said that when Lindsey was actually considering going on the road with The Mac to support 'Tango,' he had expressed the desire to have another guitarist on stage to take some of the heat off of him (Which is when Billy Burnette's name was first bandied about).
Outside of Rick's inclusion, the 'Tango' touring band was probably very similiar to what it would have been even if Lindsey had been there.
