Okay, I did find this on MP3 Insider, stated by Mick in late July (and I think someone brought this up elsewhere):
"Well I'm flattered, and you'll be happy to know the band itself is alive and well. We're in the studio finishing off what appears to be a double album, which will be out in the new year--early new year, after Christmas--and we will be seemingly behaving ourselves and rehearsed on time to get out on the road in mid-April."
So maybe the chances are better than I thought, and I'll stop being a party pooper. Also, there's the mention Stevie made in her birthday note. So who knows . . .
Anyway, I like the thought of a double album. It seems much more dramatic, and it's one of the things I thought was so gutsy about Tusk.
