I have plenty of references. My uncle is a dentist and has seen me work. Also I have several hygienists. The (only) problem is...I will have to go to evansville (30 minutes away) to get a job. NO dentist in my town will hire me because they know how long I've been there. and any dentist that would do that to him, I dont' want to work for anyway. So I have to go away for a few years, then come back. We just talked yesterday and we talked a little about money. I'm happy with what I make. I make decent money compared to most other assistants (but they aren't as good as me.. j/k) and it's not even really about the money, although it sounds like it. It's that he places so much responsibility on me, and depends on me to scratch his ass. I can't take a day off without them calling me.."where is this..how do I do this" but when push comes to shove...I see where the value is placed.

thank you for your advice, and I will give it some time.
