I worked in commercial radio for two years...not for any of the biggies - but it sucked just as bad. I HATED it...it was one of the worst jobs I've had.
Also - just recently CC made huge cuts in Rochester...a friend of mine got laid off..she had seniority, was highly qualified etc..BUT since she'd been there so long she was a more expensive employee so they sacked her. Assholes.
Oh - and I think I forgot to mention, I hate Commercial Radio!!!

yeah, i effing hate commercial radio, too. that sucks about your friend.
the only radio i listen to anymore is public/community radio. my favorite station around here is
91.3 WAPS. they're one of the few stations that still has theme-oriented programming, like my personal favorite show "pickin' the grass" (bluegrass) on monday nights.
