I love Thanksgiving but mostly for the spiritual significance to me... almost more of a "New Years" in that it's a time to check my own personal gratitude and count my blessings.
I tend to save the family get-together for Christmas since everyone else lives in other states. I have an awesome cat and dog, tho.... MY family!!

I do the same thing around this time of year, then feel a bit sad because I don't appreciate fully what I have year-round. Thanksgiving starts a time of reflection for me - and well as a time of restructuring.
And since all of my family is in another state, I also save the family time for Christmas...but do have my moo, Clancy. She's getting a special treat in her dog food tomorrow...otherwise she'll sit with her nose in my face as I eat my turkey
