I would kinda assume that most of the 70's money was basically burned. Houses, cars, parties, limos, booger-sugar

, etc. Work hard, play hard. Plus, when you're splitting the publishing three ways and the list price of an album was $8.98, it's a small piece of a small pie. And concert tickets were only like $7.

Oh, those were the days... I suspect that the money didn't really start piling up until the mid eighties, when CD sales started to kick in, and when everyone got sober, and everyone finally started "thinking about tomorrow."
