At this point in her career, Stevie could easily get away with recording an album every year or two that was written and produced by a team of industry pro's. I mean, look at Celine Dion! She's essentially held a full-time gig in Vegas for the past four years, yet she managed to crap out something like four or five albums during that time. Granted they didn't sell that well and they got savaged by the critics. But her hardcore base ate it up. Barbra Streisand is another one who continues to sh*t out kind of perfunctory efforts every year despite the fact that she admits to hating music, and ends up selling CDs by the truckload. I tend to believe that Stevie holds herself to a higher standard and would rather not record if it meant merely putting stuff out for the sake of putting stuff out. She's a control freak and although we all lover her for that, it be very frustrating for those of us who just want to hear something new. Anything new!
