to be, because it sure AS HELL wasnt when I was a kid (My ass got tore up plenty of times. Mom wasnt afraid to 'wupp-ass' in a store if I acted up, And if some nosey put stucked their nose in her business as she punished me she would tell 'em to either 'butt out' or she would 'punish' them also.)
As for the BS about "maybe it wasnt meant for you to be a parent", whatta crock. When Deb started chemo treatments in 2004 the doc told us it would be best to not to try to have children for 5 years afterwards (Deb was 41 at the time) so we arent planning on children (We may adopt in the future however.)
Besides, I wouldnt want to have a child who would kick the living **** out a child of those wusses who said "maybe it wasnt meant for you to be a parent"-"Well, Maybe it was meant to be that your kid became our child's punching bag"
